Mechanical Control
Designed by Jacob Jensen in 1967, the Beolab 5000 reflects B&O’s early mechanical approach to control, featuring physical rectangular buttons with clear tactile feedback before the shift toward touch-based interfaces.

Designed by Øivind Alexander Slaatto in 2012, the Beoplay A9 marks a shift toward a simplified design language, integrating wood and fabric to soften the presence of audio technology.

"Sculpted, not built"
Shaped from quiet geometry and softened edges, this form feels carved rather than constructed. Its wood grain flows like anatural surface, while the woven fabric wraps the body with gentle warmth. Every plane meets with calm precision. Every curve is intentional. This is sound housed in sculpture — restrained, tactile, and effortlessly at home.
“Sounded, Sculpted in Every Direction”
Two elevated drivers on each side project clean, directional audio with clarity and intention, while the dual passive radiators beneath them reinforce the low end — deep, controlled, and quietly powerful. Place it anywhere: the sound expands naturally, filling the space with balanced lows and refined detail. A compact form with a full presence — pure acoustic confidence.

Inspired by the Original Controls
A single press reconnects you with a chapter of B&O history — Each press carries the charm of early B&O design: direct, confident, and effortless. No excess. No distraction. Just a timeless interaction, revisited and refined for today.

Reads the room
Placement? Optional. Sound? Optimal. Balance is equipped with active room compensation, so it will precisely re-tune itself to make the most of any position. Place it on a shelf, table or counter – even against a wall – and enjoy a sound-to-size ratio that will leave you floored.
